Prague

Here are the pictures of Me and Di’s lovely weekend visit to Prague, and what a brilliant vibrant city it is. We went on Thursday AM and came back on Sunday after loads of sightseeing, eating in superb restaurants, drinking in lively bars, and even taking in Madame Butterfly at the State Opera (I am a culture vulture you know).
Without sounding like an employee of the Czech Tourist Board, Prague really is a brilliant place for the old, or young, there is something for everyone. This was enhanced by the fabulous Spring sunshine we had all weekend.
It was a weekend of romance, great laughs, people watching, and great company with the lovely Di, I couldn’t fault it in anyway. Go there, it’s great fun.

Nice pics Bob. Prague is a great city. A few too many American tourists but apart from that it’s really lovely and I agree there are stacks of great bars and resturants.
Many Poles have a big hang up about the Czechs as in their view they allowed the Nazis to march into their cities un-challenged during the 2nd World War. As a result their architechture survived whereas the Poles fought against the Germans and ended up cities in ruins. Compare Warsaw with Prague and you kind of get the idea!
Prague is a special place for us (we got engaged on Charles Bridge) 🙂
