Thaw and Floods

The temperature gradgually lifted today giving a slow thaw accompanied by heavy rain which started the flood process. The sheer amount of snow melting has turned roads in to rivers and fields in tp quagmires. Don’t read in to this wrong, there is still no heatwave on the horizon with temps down to -4 or 5c at nigh all this week and only rising to what now seems a balmy 5c by day.

This winter is going to be one to remember, or perhaps forget, depending on how your mind works. Perhaps a genuine winter will be followed by a genuine summer! I pray it is, we deserve it after the last few washouts.
