Hectic Weekend

Posted on March 23, 2009

The weekend recently gone has been completely manic. Having the boys when the sun is shining makes life easier and we had an all action time. On Friday we headed straight down to my Dad’s in Milford where we walked from Milford front to Keyhaven followed by a hearty meal in the White Horse.

On Saturday after a huge breakfast kindly made by Dad, we shot of to Tadley via Sainsbury’s to see John and Heidi who I was to cook for on Saturday night. Heidi informed me that Stewart and Clare had been added to the guest list so this increased the pressure, but I think I did quite well with my Chianti Meatballs and there was plenty of clean plates, we had a right good laugh and the kids all had fun as well.

Yesterday we started by going to watch Zak play football, then John talked me in to refereeing a load of seven year old kids. It was pandemonium but great fun, Zak’s team won one and lost one. After that we head to the Aquadrome in Basingstoke. The words Basingstoke and Swimming pool don’t really appeal to me, but all the Proles must have been at home eating Bernard Mathews Sunday roasts, as it was empty and great fun. After that it was a quick sandwich, a drop of home for Harry, then off to cricket coaching with George, followed by a meeting at Steve’s house to discuss leg 2 our up and coming Dorset coast path walk. Leg one was last July where we got from Poole to Weymouth, this year we are doing Chideock to Exmouth……hopefully!!!

Pics all From Milford and Keyhaven, don’t expect too many spring pics for a while, the wet and windy stuff has returned!!!
