A Quiet Weekend At Last

After all the excess of Christmas it was nice to have a weekend that revolved around fresh air and just a little bit of alcohol. After the the bitterly cold fortnight, the temperature rose to +8c on Sunday evening, a staggering 20 degrees swing from last Tuesday night when it dipped to minus 12c. Pictures come from the rapidly thawing Kennet and Avon Canal at Woolhampton with John, Heidi and the kids.
I must admit, as much as I like the cold weather, it was nice to get up on Monday morning and not have to de ice the car for the first time since before Christmas.
